You should be a little skeptical of anyone reviewing their own course. I would be. So I'm not going to tell you it was perfect. I'm going to tell you what it covered, what still holds up, what aged badly, and why I stopped selling it.

Here's the short answer: Tube Mastery and Monetization is out of date, and you can't buy it anymore. I closed it and replaced it with Tube Accelerator. If you already own it, parts of it are still useful, and I'll tell you which parts.

Scorecard for Tube Mastery and Monetization. Still holds up: picking a niche you can stick with, titles and thumbnails, publishing on a steady schedule, learning from your analytics. Didn't age well: look-alike videos on a template, old tool picks, advice from before today's AI, and rules from before July 2025.
My scorecard for my own old course.

Why most Tube Mastery reviews won't help you

Search "Tube Mastery and Monetization review" and look at what comes up. A lot of it is affiliate pages, copy-paste posts on free blog sites and paid press releases. Many of them say almost the same thing word for word, push a discount link, and quote prices and deals from years ago.

I didn't write those. And if a review ends with "buy through my link," treat it as an ad, because that's what it is.

What Tube Mastery and Monetization was

It was my course on building faceless YouTube channels: picking a niche, making videos without showing your face, growing the channel and making money from it.

There were three versions. Tube Mastery 2.0 opened in July 2020, and Tube Mastery 3.0 opened in August 2022. It came with step-by-step lessons, checklists, templates and a private Facebook group where I answered questions. The list price was $997, but it went on sale a lot.

The full history, and where old students log in, is on the Tube Mastery and Monetization page.

What still holds up

Some basics don't expire. These are the same things I still teach today:

  • Pick a niche you can stick with. Most channels don't fail because the niche was wrong. They fail because the person quit. Pick something you'll still want to make videos about in month three.
  • Packaging is everything. Your title, your thumbnail and the first 30 seconds decide whether anyone watches. That was true then, and it's even more true now.
  • Publish on a schedule. A steady schedule for a few months teaches you more than any lesson can.
  • Learn from your numbers. Which videos got clicked, which ones kept people watching. Then make more of what works.

What didn't age well

This is the part most course creators skip. I'm not going to.

The "automation" angle

A lot of the energy around Tube Mastery, especially in how other people marketed it, was about channels that run with almost nothing of you in them. Lots of look-alike videos made on a template.

In July 2025, YouTube made its rules really clear: mass-produced, repetitive content isn't eligible to make money, and that can affect your whole channel. So that approach is done. Faceless channels still work. Soulless ones don't. (I go deeper on this in Is YouTube automation dead?)

Everything about AI

Today's AI tools can research, draft and edit in minutes. The course was recorded before any of that existed. It can't show you how to use these tools well, or how to label realistic AI content the way YouTube asks you to now.

Tool picks

Software recommendations get old fast in any course. Some of what I recommended back then has changed, or just isn't the best pick anymore.

Who it was for, and who it wasn't

It worked best for people who wanted a full, start-to-finish course they could go through at their own pace, and who were okay putting in months of work before seeing much.

It wasn't for people who wanted fast money, a done-for-you channel, or results without publishing consistently. Honestly, nothing is for those people.

The criticism I've heard

"The reviews online overpromised." Fair. A lot of third-party pages said things I'd never say, including income promises. They weren't mine, but they shaped what people expected, and I get the frustration.

"A lot of it is on YouTube for free." Also fair. I put a ton of my strategy out for free on purpose. A course gives you the order, the structure and the templates. That's worth paying for to some people and not to others.

"It's outdated." Yep. That's exactly why I closed it.

Should you buy Tube Mastery and Monetization in 2026?

No. You can't anyway, because I don't sell it. If someone is selling it, it isn't me, and you'd be paying for an out-of-date course.

If you already own it, log in at members.mattpar.com and use it for the basics above. Skip anything that tells you to mass-produce videos.

If you want what I teach now, that's Tube Accelerator. I explain exactly what changed in Tube Mastery vs Tube Accelerator.

My verdict

Tube Mastery and Monetization was a real, solid course that helped a lot of people understand YouTube. But it belongs to an older version of YouTube. The basics hold up. The automation-era stuff doesn't. I'd rather close it than keep selling something I wouldn't follow myself today.

Frequently asked questions

Is Tube Mastery and Monetization worth it in 2026?

Not as a purchase. It's closed and out of date. If you already have it, the basics are still worth watching.

Is Tube Mastery and Monetization legit?

Yes. It was a real course with real lessons, and people who bought it still have access. Just be careful with third-party pages that promise income from it. I answered the bigger question in Is Matt Par legit?

Did Tube Mastery and Monetization have a money-back guarantee?

Some old pages mention guarantees from old offers. Those were the terms of offers that are over now, and the course isn't sold anymore.

What replaced Tube Mastery and Monetization?

Tube Accelerator. Doors are closed right now, and the waitlist is how you hear when they open.

Where do I log in if I bought it?

At members.mattpar.com, with the email you bought with. Here's the step-by-step login guide.
