If you typed "is Matt Par legit" or "Matt Par scam" into Google, good. You should check out anyone before you give them money, especially in the make-money-online world, where a lot of people overpromise.

So here's my straight answer: yes, I'm a real person running a real business, with real courses that people still have access to. But I'm obviously not neutral, so below I'll stick to things you can check yourself, and I'll go through the criticism too.

A checklist of 7 things to check before buying any YouTube course: full price shown before you pay, refund policy shown before you pay, no promises of income, says who it's not for, deadlines that don't reset, owned tools and affiliate links labelled, and free material you can learn from first.
Run these 7 checks on any course. Mine included.

Who is Matt Par?

I'm Matt. I started on YouTube in 2014, when I was 14. My first channel that really worked was a faceless one, and YouTube ended up changing my life.

Today I run the channel Make Money Matt, which is close to a million subscribers, where I teach people how to build YouTube channels into businesses. I also run two software companies for creators, TubeMagic and VidAI. When I mention either one, I say it's mine.

My company is Above Par Training Technologies LLC. The longer version of my story is on my story page.

Is Matt Par a real person, and a real business?

Yes. I'm on camera in my videos every week. The business is a registered company with a support inbox (support@mattpar.com) that real people answer. My courses are real, and everyone who bought one still has it at members.mattpar.com.

Is Tube Mastery and Monetization a scam?

No. It was my main course for years, with real lessons, checklists and a private group. It's closed now because it's out of date, and I replaced it with Tube Accelerator.

I explain everything on the Tube Mastery and Monetization page, and I review my own course, weak spots included, in my Tube Mastery review.

How does Matt Par make money?

You should know how anyone who teaches you makes a living. Here's how I do:

  • YouTube ads on my videos
  • Sponsors. Sponsored parts of my videos are labelled.
  • My software: TubeMagic and VidAI
  • My program: Tube Accelerator
  • Affiliate links, which my video descriptions call out

People search my net worth a lot too. I wrote an honest answer to that in Matt Par net worth.

Why do some search results look sketchy?

Fair question. The honest answer is that a lot of what you'll find isn't from me.

Copy-paste "reviews." Search my course names and you'll see tons of near-identical reviews on free blog sites, forums and paid press-release sites. Most are affiliate pages trying to earn a commission. Many quote old prices, old deals and income promises I'd never make.

Where to get the real info: current prices and terms are only on mattpar.com/tubeaccelerator. If something else disagrees, that page wins. And if you ever see someone promising income on my behalf, tell us at support@mattpar.com.

What have people criticized?

Here's the real stuff I've seen, and what I think about it.

Refunds

Some reviews complain about refunds, mostly from an older, higher-priced version of Tube Accelerator. Here's how it works now: there are no refunds, because you get instant access to everything. That's written on the page before you pay. I know not everyone likes that. That's exactly why the price, the curriculum and a free course are all public first.

"Matt isn't on the calls"

In Tube Accelerator 2.0, the weekly coaching calls were run by my head coach, Denis. Where I show up myself is the community. I'd rather say that plainly than have you find out later.

"The make-money branding feels hypey"

I get it. My channel literally has "Make Money" in the name, and this niche has a lot of hype. What I can control is how I sell: no income promises, and a price and refund policy you can see before you pay.

"It's all free on YouTube"

A lot of my strategy is free on YouTube, on purpose. The paid program adds the order, templates, tools and people to ask. If the free stuff is enough for you, that's a great outcome. Here's where my free course is.

How to check any YouTube course (including mine)

Whoever you buy from, these 7 checks sort the honest offers from the rest:

  1. Is the full price shown before you get on a call or type in your card?
  2. Is the refund policy shown before you pay, not buried in the terms?
  3. Does it promise income? If yes, walk away. Nobody can honestly promise that.
  4. Does it say who it's not for? Honest sellers turn some people away.
  5. Do the deadlines reset if you open the page in a new browser? Then they're fake.
  6. Are owned tools, sponsors and affiliate links labelled?
  7. Can you learn from them for free first? Watch their free stuff and see if it actually helps you.

The bottom line

I'm a real creator with real courses, a public price and a stated refund policy. I've made mistakes, and I've changed how I do things because of them. You don't have to take my word for any of it: watch my free videos, read the terms, look at the student reviews (their results aren't typical), and decide for yourself.
